ADULT DAY TREATMENT

POSITION: CO-OCCURRING MENTAL HEALTH / SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR / FT

The partial care program provides services up to six days per week for adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. Services include group counseling, work units, pre-vocational training and job placement, addiction services, individual counseling, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, transportation, and lunch.

Program emphasizes teamwork, strengths-based approach, recovery culture and trauma-informed services. The program focuses on evidence-based practices and incorporates Motivational Interviewing, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment for co-occurring mental health and addictions disorders, Illness Management and Recovery, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and run groups
• Case management responsibilities for caseload of approx. 15
• Complete clinical documentation

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/MA plus experience working with adults with co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Must have or obtain CADC.
• Optional weekend work available
• Use of personal vehicle may be necessary in carrying out job responsibilities.
•  Valid driver’s license required.
