ADULT DAY TREATMENT

POSITION: COUNSELOR / FT

The partial care program provides services up to six days per week for adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. Services include group counseling, work units, pre-vocational training and job placement, addiction services, individual counseling, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, transportation, and lunch.

Program emphasizes teamwork, strengths-based approach, recovery culture and trauma-informed services. The program focuses on evidence-based practices and incorporates Motivational Interviewing, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment for co-occurring mental health and addictions disorders, Illness Management and Recovery, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/MA in a human services field plus two years’ group counseling experience.
• Optional weekend work available.
• Use of personal vehicle may be necessary in carrying out job responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs and runs groups.
• Provides in vivo community learning.
• Primary counselor responsibilities for caseload of approximately 15.
• Completes clinical documentation.
